The actor thanked his parents, the show’s cast, and its fans. “Thank you for the people that watch this show and dig it as much as we dig making it,” he said, closing his folksy speech. “I’m truly truly surprised and flattered.” Sudeikis plays the titular character in the series about a kindly American football coach who leaps across the pond to lead a British soccer team. The actor won the show’s second prize of the night, after costarwon for best supporting actor in a comedy. “I’m really gonna try not to swear,” Goldstein said in his acceptance speech, shortly before dropping a sweet F-bomb anyway.
