, the new Taylor just made another album announcement in a livestream — this time, on Instagram Live. Much to the excitement of Swifties worldwide, the queen of foreshadowing and symbolism announced her seventh studio album,, which features 18 songs and comes out on August 23rd, and her next single, “You Need To Calm Down,” which comes out June 14 at midnight EST. The music video, meanwhile comes out on Monday, June 17th on Good Morning America, and then it will be on Youtube.
This news comes over a month and a half after the release of her debut single for her new album, “ME!,” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, which was released back in April along with an Easter-egg filledLess than 24 hours after the release of the song and music video, Taylor tweeted, “So... the new album title is actually revealed somewhere in the video AND so is the title of the second single, but I haven’t seen people finding them yet...
Considering Taylor's long-time obsession with the number 13 combined with the fact that today is June 13th and there is a stamp on today’s date in Taylor’s 2019 calendar, the timing of this announcement is not shocking to Swifties, but the nature of the news is beyond exciting for many. Earlier this week, there were rumors swirling on Twitter that Taylor's next single and music video are set to come out tonight, as well an album announcement.
