Taylor Swift reveals who the characters in her song, betty, were named after
In a clip shared by a fan, Taylor is heard saying that the characters in the song,James and Inez are the names of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's first two daughters, leading everyone to assume that Betty is the name of the couple's third child.
Taylor is a close friend of Ryan and Blake and has previously used their daughter, James', voice on her song, Gorgeous. Taylor Swift is well known for hidden messages or meaning in her songs, so when fans heard her track, betty, off herWell, wonder no more, because the singer has revealed the people behind the characters in the track.
In a radio clip captured by a fan and shared on social media, Taylor explained that the song is written from the perspective of a 17-year-old boy. "I've always loved that, in music, you can kind of slip into different identities, and you can sing from other people's perspectives, so that's what I did on this one."
