Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is providing everything, even tears. The singer became tearful performing Marjorie, which recalls tales about her late grandmother 💕
In footage captured by one lucky fan in the stadium, the 33-year-old can be seen with watery eyes, blinking hard at one point as if to wish the tears away.Lyrics for Marjorie include lines like: ‘What died didn’t stay dead, you’re alive, you’re alive in my head’, and: ‘Should’ve kept every grocery store receipt, ’cause every scrap of you would be taken from me’.
Taylor’s tears didn’t go unnoticed by fans online either, many of whom were desperate to give her a hug.Fans also grew emotional at the moment Taylor crying during marjorie is so bittersweet to me.
‘Taylor crying during marjorie is so bittersweet to me. That song was added to the setlist to pay tribute to her grandmother and her voice and getting to sing about her legacy in front of 70,000 people must have been such an overwhelming feeling…’, one Swiftie wrote. Marjorie actually includes Taylor’s grandma’s own vocals in the background, as she too was a singer with a talent for opera, meaning Taylor is essentially able to duet with her each night on tour in a really special moment.
