The 24-year-old currently lives with her parents, brother and nephew. All of them have jobs, but it’s still tough to consistently put food on the table.Milan says her family started making trips to food distribution sites during the height of the pandemic. Julie Butner, the president and CEO of TAFB, says, “we’re seeing as many people right now as we saw at the height of the pandemic, when folks were experiencing job loss.” Butner says it’s been a perfect storm of factors that have led the TAFB to deal with supply issues for some groceries and produce.Loss of pandemic support mechanisms from the U.S.
