Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to talk that Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez will struggle against Erling Haaland. SLInt MORE:
The Premier League champions welcome the Red Devils to the Etihad for the first Manchester derby of the season on Sunday afternoon.
Martinez has been a key figure in the United defence over the last four league games, but many pundits feel he might struggle against the league's top scorer. “Erling is taller, that's for sure. I like when people underestimate players for the size,” Guardiola said, as per Sky Sports News.“He's a fantastic player, aggressive, good build up. United paid this money, Erik [ten Hag] knows him. It's not the first time he's played against taller strikers, he handles it. Haaland has had a fantastic start to life in England, having registered 14 goals in nine appearances across all competitions for the Citizens.
