Takealot wants to lean heavily into subscription-based services, and this could even include the introduction of a streaming service.
Takealot is heavily focused on growing its subscription offerings in South Africa and will add many new services in the coming months and years to increase the value it offers to subscribers.Speaking at a recent media roundtable in Cape Town, Takealot Group CEO Frederik Zietsman said that while Takealot does not currently plan to launch a streaming service, the company is not ruling out the possibility that it could happen in the future.
If its research found that a streaming service made sense, Takealot would seriously consider creating one. The Standard subscription also provides one free Mr D takeaway order with a minimum value of R150 and one free Mr D grocery order with a minimum value of R350.
