Takealot launched the free delivery subscription in May 2024 and has big plans to expand the offering.
Takealot has been quiet regarding further plans for its Amazon Prime rival TakealotMore after previously stating that the delivery subscription service proved popular among its customers.
TakealotMore Standard customers qualify for two free same-day deliveries and collections on orders with a minimum value of R500. These customers get unlimited free next-day deliveries and collection. On Mr D’s side, Premium subscribers get five free deliveries on takeaway orders with a minimum value of R150 and unlimited free grocery deliveries on orders of R350 and up.
It noted that the more expensive Premium subscription had proven to be more popular than the Standard plan. However, it didn’t provide any specific numbers.
