The Raley's in South Lake Tahoe near Heavenly Village is closed due to the atmospheric river storm hitting California.around the Tahoe Basin, one Raley's grocery store has been preemptively closed.
The Raley's near Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe was shuttered Saturday as a safety precaution, the city announced. The grocery store is"closed until further notice," South Lake Tahoe officials wrote on Twitter."The building has been evacuated due to structural concerns and for the safety of employees and patrons."
Earlier this week, Tahoe officials cautioned that the excessive snow is"pushing the upper limit of what roofs are expected to tolerate." With some areas of the Sierra Nevada receiving more than 15 feet of snow since late February, the
