Emily Kelsall and Maya Laframboise, both 24, have pleaded guilty to criminal contempt for violating a court injunction in May, when they put on dinosaur costumes and climbed into a Trans Mountain work site in Burnaby and played badminton.
Two women are in B.C. Supreme Court this morning for violating a court injunction at a Burnaby Trans Mountain Pipeline worksite in May.
On May 11, 2022, Emily Kelsall, 25, and Lucy Everett, 24, donned inflatable Tyrannosaurus Rex costumes, scaled a fence at a TMX worksite near an industrial complex in the 8600-block of Commerce Court, and hit a badminton birdie back and forth. Mounties were waiting on the other side of the fence, and the two women were arrested as soon as they climbed back out of the worksite.The pair pleaded guilty to criminal contempt in Vancouver Supreme Court Friday morning.Check back for more details.
