Sydney man charged with exploiting child to produce abuse material | jennynoise
A Sydney man has been charged with multiple offences after he allegedly exploited a child known to him for the production of child abuse material.
That investigation led to a raid on a home in Marayong, in Sydney's west, on Tuesday, during which a number of electronic devices were seized. The man was charged with two counts of producing child abuse material, five counts of possessing child abuse material obtained or accessed via a carriage service and four counts of possessing or controlling child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service.

Lockout law lift needed to give Sydney a 'vibrant nighttime economy' | Sky News AustraliaA NSW parliamentary inquiry has recommended the relaxation of Sydney’s lockout laws, with committee chair Natalie Ward telling Sky News that “safety can go hand in hand with a vibrant night time economy”. \n\nThe report, released Monday, recommended that the 2014 laws be lifted.\n\nThe joint select committee made 40 recommendations in total, with Ms Ward telling Sky News that “we should be able to have both” when it comes to safety and a vibrant city after dark. \n\n“We don’t believe that a vibrant night time economy is mutually exclusive with a safe community environment.\n \n“The committee’s number one concern was about safety… We accept alcohol causes harm.\n\n“We think the measures we have recommended will ensure there are steps taken on an ongoing basis so that safety can be hand in hand with a vibrant night time economy.” \n\nThe lockout laws currently impose 1.30am lockouts and 3am alcohol service cut-offs from licensed venues across Sydney’s CBD.\n\nImage: Getty
