Switch Online’s latest Mega Drive/Genesis update adds Alisia Dragoon, Beyond Oasis and Earthworm Jim
The newest additions to the service, which are shown in the trailer below, are Alisia Dragoon, Beyond Oasis and Earthworm Jim.
Alisia Dragoon is a 1992 platform game developed by Game Arts for the Sega Genesis. Despite being a critical success and a cult classic, it wasn’t a commercial success. It was later included in the 2019 Sega Genesis Mini.Beyond Oasis, which was released in Europe and Japan as The Story of Thor, is an action-adventure game developed by Ancient. The game has been re-released many times, including on the Virtual Console, Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection and Sega Forever.
Earthworm Jim was released in 1994 and was developed by Shiny Entertainment. A run-and-gun platformer, the game would spawn many sequels and has been ported to multiple consoles. A remake was released in 2009 for mobile, and home console. However, due to licensing issues, this version was removed from storefronts in 2018.to the existing NES and SNES libraries available as part of the standard membership tier.Mario Party, GoldenEye, Excitebike and more will be released within the next year
