Lethbridge beats Victoria 5-1
Lethbridge Hurricanes defenceman Nolan Bentham, who is from Victoria, had about the sweetest night one can imagine against his hometown club. The Racquet Club product scored twice as the Hurricanes defeated the Victoria Royals — who traded him away — 5-1 in a WHL game Tuesday night before 2,259 fans at the Enmax Centre in Southern Alberta.
“Nolan is a good person and a good player and I’m happy for him,” said Royals GM and head coach Dan Price, who orchestrated the trade. The score was 1-1 after one period before the ʼCanes blew the game open with three unanswered goals in the second.
