It's the first swamp monkey born at the zoo since 2009.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo welcomed a rare addition earlier this month.

The zoo announced that its swamp monkey Luella gave birth on Feb. 13. Luella’s baby is the first swamp monkey born at the zoo since 2009.. They usually grow to about 18 inches in length . They weigh between 7.7 and 13 pounds. The baby will be weaned when it’s about 2½ months old. Swamp monkeys have a lifespan of about 23 to 28 years.
