Swallows boss hopes to maintain intact record against Chiefs amid Birds’ struggles
“We have a good record against Chiefs. Last season we played them twice in the league; we beat them [in one match] and drew the other,” reflected Mogashoa.
“But as they always say, you are as good as your last game. Our last game we lost [against TS Galaxy last Sunday] and even the second last we lost [against Sekhukhune United]. So we are going into Sunday’s game as underdogs.”So we have to go into that game and try to redeem ourselves. Whether it’s a draw or a win, we need to get some positive result out of the game.
Mogashoa said he wished that the supporters were allowed at the stadium to witness the league’s only other Soweto derby besides the Orlando Pirates versus Chiefs encounters. “It’s a Soweto derby and we would have loved [to have] the supporters at the stadium so that we can enjoy the game, but unfortunately the regulations don’t allow the supporters to be there.”
