Police have arrested a suspect in the car crash at a Massachusetts Apple store that killed at least one person and injured 16 others.
"We are devastated by the shocking events at Apple Derby Street today and the tragic loss of a professional who was onsite supporting recent construction at the store," Apple said in a statement.
"Our hearts go out to our team members and customers who were injured and all of those who were affected by this terrible incident. We are doing everything we can to support our team members and customers at this very difficult time.
Cruz added that family members were "being notified or in the process of being notified," adding that store employees and other nearby workers were "visibly shaken, and they're assembling nearby." "When you're just going there to buy a phone or get something fixed or whatever it may be — it's absolutely unthinkable. It's absolutely tragic," Cruz added.
