Gqeberha based Serious Organised Crime Investigation team of the Hawks together with Gqeberha based Priority Crime Serious Investigation re-arrested Alfred Ndinda on 29 September 2023 for the allegations of dealing in drugs.

On 25 December 2016, the Gqeberha base SOCI team of investigators followed up an information pertaining to a large quantity of drugs that were allegedly transported from Gauteng Province to Western Cape. The Eastern Cape SOCI team requested an assistance for the George SOCI team, the reports indicated that the team spotted the vehicle and stopped it.

Therefore, Ndinda made his first court appearance before Gqeberha Regional court on 27 December 2016 and was later released on R 200 000 bail. Ndinda made several court appearances, however he absconded all his court trials until his bail was forfeited to the State as he could not adhere to his bail conditions. Moreover, the reports revealed that the warrant of arrest was issued against Ndinda.

The suspect will make his court appearance at George Magistrate’s court on 3 October 2023.
