The Treasury Secretary, who previously defended Trump’s praise of neo-Nazis, isn’t sure what everyone’s getting so bent out of shape about

Trump was justified in calling football players exercising their First Amendment rights “sons of bitches”; and that he generally views himself as chief presidential manservant—do you think he would publicly condemn Trump for a string of racist tweets against four freshman congresswomen? During a press conference with reporters on Monday, the Treasury secretary was asked if Trump’s objectively racist tweets that four congresswomen of color should “go back” to the “crime infested” countries they “originally came from” were, in fact, racist. To which Mnuchin, whose own fatherat the mention of his son’s association with Trump, responded: “I don’t find them racist. The president just went on and clarified his comments. I think he speaks for himself on that, and he was very clear.
