Toilet paper, baby formula, computer chips…Canadians have worried about the potential shortage of these and many other products since the beginning of the pandemic; products once assumed to appear magically at our preferred retailers with a constant, secure supply. In the last two years, we have realized that all products must travel to us via long, complex paths called supply chains—a term from business and academia that has entered everyday conversations.
