However, developments have taken an abrupt turn. According to a Monday report, SuperSport United has emerged as the frontrunner in the race to acquire Saile's services. Initially, SABC Sport reported that Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United were close to finalizing a deal for Saile.
The Glamour Boys were reportedly eager to free up a foreign spot on their roster in anticipation of signing an international forward, with Saile's potential move facilitating the immediate acquisition of a replacement. Saile joined Chiefs two years ago from Zambian club Nchana Rangers, hoping to recapture his previous form that had earned him recognition both domestically and on the continental stage. Despite appearing in 49 matches across all competitions, the DR Congo striker managed only six goals and often found himself deployed as a wide player.SABC Sport's Mazola Molefe later revealed that SuperSport United had entered into discussions with Kaizer Chiefs to secure Saile's transfer. It is understood that Chiefs are open to a loan arrangement with an option to buy at the end of the current season, as Saile's contract is set to expire in July next year. Chippa, who had initially seemed the more likely destination for Saile, has now been overtaken by SuperSport, who are believed to be in pole position to sign the Congolese forward.
