SuperSport United mentor Gavin Hunt anticipates he will lose more players to PSL rivals such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.
While the transfer window is a thing of the past, SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says he anticipates to lose more of his star players to PSL rivals.
The Tshwane-based SuperSport lost a number of key players to PSL rivals such as Thapelo Maseko to Mamelodi Sundowns while some went to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the previous window. In an honest admission to the media, Hunt painted a grim picture to the club’s fans of what to expect at the end of the 2023.24 DStv Premiership season.
“It happened to me the first time I was here so it’s nature of the beast. We can’t afford to keep players if they get offered money like that. It’s the nature of the game and I think it’s only going to get worse. They’ll be one or two gone at the end of the year, it’s more than likely,” added Hunt.
