Supermarket queues 'worse than Christmas' as shoppers stock up ahead of closure for Queen's funeral
Shoppers are complaining that supermarkets have been rammed due to people rushing to them ahead of tomorrow's closures.
One tweeter described Tesco Stretford as 'pure chaos', while a shopper in Tesco Prestwich said that customers were "queuing round the shop for the tills". @milljay9 tweeted: "Just been to @asda for a few bits and couldn't believe the amount of panic buying going on its shut for a day ffs people need to get a grip."@BListAtCapital added: "You’d think all the shops were closing for a week and not just 24hrs judging by the state of Aldi at the moment. It’s giving last minute Christmas Eve trolley dash."
