Superman is unstoppable. Now make him stronger.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT DC's New 52 was designed to tell new stories in the DC Universe, to take familiar characters in exciting new directions – this included one of the most memorable additions to Superman lore, a storyline that saw him gain the powers of both the villains Brainiac and Doomsday. The result was a Superman that was more powerful than any character seen before, or since.

As seen in the sprawling Superman: Doomed storyline from 2014 – written across several titles by Grek Pak, Charles Soule, Scott Lobdell, and Tony Bedard – this "Superdoom-Brainiac" had the potential to be the most truly unstoppable force the DC Universe has ever imagined, combining Superman's Kryptonian power set with the raw force of Doomsday and the super intelligence of Brainiac, two of the character's most iconic villains.

SuperDoom-Brainiac Is Superman's Strongest Form Kryptonians are the DC universe's most famous alien race and one of its most powerful. Under a red sun, Kryptonians are no different from humans, but under a yellow sun, they gain the powers made famous by Superman: super strength, near invulnerability, flight, x-ray vision, heat vision, and incredible speed.

Previously, 1998's Superman: The Doomsday Wars had featured Doomsday fusing with Brainiac to create a nearly unbeatable threat for the Man of Steel and DC's heroes, one who easily defeated the entire Justice League and nearly emerged victorious against Superman as well. The 2014 update of the idea took it to its most absurd possible level, by giving Superman the powers of both legendary villains, if only briefly.
