Sundowns showed extreme confidence in possession and doubled their lead on 20 minutes when Shalulile pulled out wide of the area and cutback for Neo Maema to apply a side-footed finish. Belouizdad started to see a lot of the ball later on and got a lifeline on the stroke of halftime when Miloud Rebiai towered above the defence to head in at the near post following a corner-kick.
Sundowns weren’t bothered and added another goal five minutes after the break when Shalulile attacked a loose ball in the area and slammed into the near corner.
