Last month, the Siya crew reported that Sundowns were in advanced talks with Gallants over a possible season-long loan move for the Stars of Africa development product and now indications are that he has penned a season-long loan deal with the Polokwane-based outfit.The 27-year-old midfielder had a brief assessment period with Gallants coach Romain Folz, where he is understood to have impressed the Frenchman and his technical team.
Maraisane made just two appearances for Sundowns towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign and with the club going into the market and signing the likes of Sipho Mbule and Abubbeker Nasir, his chances of getting regular game-time in the current season even more. The loan move is Maraisane’s third with the club having spent two consecutive loan spells with Cape Town All Stars in recently renamed Motsepe Foundation Championship.
