The 31-year-old said he didn’t see anything wrong with extending his contract with Sundowns after realising that nothing concrete came for him.
Williams feels Sundowns are giving him the platform to showcase his talent, saying he’s now looking forward to FIFA Club World Cup.“I think if that was to materialise, it should have happened after AFCON – I think that was the perfect moment, and nothing concrete came my way or anything that my management or club brought up,” said Williams as“So, why not stay at Mamelodi Sundowns, where we’re looking to be part of great things – the Club World Cup, they’re giving me that platform.
“I’m happy at the club, I’ve signed a new deal, long may this continue – the achievements, the success, and even the heartbreak because that builds and fuels us to go even harder in the next season,” continued Williams.
