The first match, which was played at Loftus Versveld Stadium ended 1-0 in favour of the home team, while the second match ended goalless, which saw Sundowns progress to the final where they will face Wydad Casablanca. The final will be played over two legs. "Al Ahly are a big team and we need to always respect . I have big respect for the players of the team, for the club, for the coach, as a counterpart. So please allow me not to get into that space because I don't think I'm the right person to judge the quality or the quality of the performance of the team or the players," he explained.
