Sunderland's average home attendance this season eclipses Serie A giants Juventus SAFC
Sunderland‘s return to the Championship has seen a huge boost in their average attendance, which has even eclipsed Juventus.
That is an increase of 7,545 on last season’s average and their highest since the club’s final season in the Premier League in 2016/17 when figures hit 41,287. It’s not just Juventus that Sunderland are ahead of with Champions League regulars Napoli boasting averages of 35,657 despite the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona capable of holding 54,726 spectators.Advertisement
