The director, who would like to see his version of the 2016 movie released, says he was once rumored as a candidate to take over DC Studios.
The Ayer Cut was apparently never tested by the studio; according to Ayer, “everyone” he’s shown it to says “Thow the studio turned his “dark, soulful movie” into a comedy.
