Batista is accused of killing Albert Titov, 73, by stabbing him on a small beach along the Houston Ship Channel on Galveston's east end. Police described Titov as a fisherman who was originally from Ukraine and who had recently moved to Galveston. It was unclear as of Thursday how long Titov had lived in the United States before moving to Galveston.
