The Calgary Fire Department says at least 10 people were injured in a 'sudden and devastating' explosion in the city's northeast on Monday that completely destroyed one home.
Calgary emergency crews were called to an explosion and house fire in the community of Marlborough on Monday, March 27, 2023.
Firefighters were called to the 700 block of Maryvale Way N.E. at around 8:50 a.m. by those in the neighbourhood who felt the blast. It's unknown what caused the explosion, but the fire department says debris caused damage to nearby homes as well as "several fires."
