The Sudan conflict has resulted in the displacement of 13 million people, nearly nine million of whom are internally displaced, and more than half of the population is suffering from acute hunger. Violence, including airstrikes, shelling, and attacks on civilian areas, has exacerbated the humanitarian situation, resulting in famine in parts of Darfur.
