Sudan: First Aid Convoy Reaches Khartoum Since Outbreak of Sudan War

Yesterday, Khartoum received its first humanitarian aid convoy since the war began on April 15, 2023, marking a major milestone in relief efforts for the conflict-stricken capital.

There are 14.6 million internally displaced people in Sudan , more than anywhere else in the world. Having been forced to flee their home in Khartoum, Altuma and her children live in this roofless shelter.

In a statement yesterday, the emergency room confirmed that 28 of the 34 trucks successfully reached their destination, although some faced delays during the journey. He praised both the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces for protecting the convoy through their respective territories.
