Revan has been one of the most popular Star Wars characters since the release of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video game, starting out as a Jedi-turned-Sith who returned to the Jedi . While Revan was canonically male in the Star Wars Legends continuity, the game allowed players to customize the character any way they wanted.
