Viewers believe pro dancer Karen Hauer wasn't happy with the music selection for her debut performance on Strictly Come Dancing with partner Paul Merson.
Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are sure that pro dancer Karen Hauer was less than thrilled with the music selection during the first live show on Saturday 21 September. Karen, who is teamed with ex-football star Paul Merson , had to create an American Smooth routine to the comedy football tune Vindaloo by Fat Les for their performance last week.
Support also poured in for Paul, who has joined the ranks of footballers struggling on the dance floor. One fan lamented that the song choice overshadowed Paul's earnest attempt, saying, "It's a shame it overshadowed what was a really good try from Paul. Strictly Come Dancing viewers have been voicing their concerns, urging the show not to turn Paul into this year's novelty act. Despite their efforts, Paul and his dance partner Karen found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with just 17 points, trailing behind Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones.
The Twitterverse also chimed in on the seemingly underwhelming partnership, with one user tweeting: "Paul Merson doesn't want to be partnered with Karen lol I can see another Will Young exit type lol #Strictly2024."
