A newly married couple were hoping to have their wedding reception in the Railway At Leyland, but a week before the day, they found out that their booking had not been made at all
A husband and wife had to find a new venue for their wedding reception just a week before it was due to happen.
Dave went on the claim: "I struggled to get hold of the pub again, but eventually I got them on the phone and they said there was no booking on that day so it wouldn't be a problem and they'd put it in the diary." After this conversation, Dave sought confirmation from the pub about his new booking and according to Dave, had called and messaged the pub several times without a reply.
Dave claimed: "We were in Lancashire last month and my wife went down to the Railway to confirm everything and get food and finalising the numbers sorted. She was told that there was in fact a christening booked on October 1 and no wedding had been pencilled in. A spokesperson for the Railway At Leyland said: "We would like to apologise without reservation for the mix up regarding this wedding booking. As ingoing owners we did not have information as to the details of the parties that had been booked under the previous tenant including contact details that would have enabled us to get in touch with the party that had booked for the wedding.
