Tramlines run along the busy street
Snaking from the back of the Asda supermarket in Hyson Green and into Forest Fields, commuters on the tram will get a sense of the busy Noel Street from afar. which is densely populated with family and student houses.
Noel Street resident Kenny Lang, a 37-year-old Amazon worker, says he struggles to get a good night's sleep a lot of the time. He described Noel Street during rush hour to a Mumbai, a city in India known for its congestion.He said: “It’s noisy and disruptive. I haven’t had a good night's sleep in years and I have two children both under five. It’s not an ideal place to live here, it’s an ideal place for students.
She said: “It’s always noisy around here. With cars, trams, people, it can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare," said the mum-of-three, who has lived in Noel Street for three years. "You appreciate the area when it’s quiet. With Goose Fair coming up I guess parking and noise will be ten times worse.”
