Chairman Jed McCrory has complained the club and fans alike will be adversely affected.
A council has been accused of having a "lack of respect" towards a football club over a road closure.
People driving from the south or south-west of the ground, the east of Stratford town centre, will have to loop around a diversion that adds four miles to the round trip, taking vehicles through residential areas. The first the club heard about the works was through a notice in the local newspaper, said Mr McCrory.
The club ran a dementia care café, veterans brunch club and a sports education programme, he explained.
