The new animated series is said to be ‘in the vein of Saturday morning cartoons’
Stranger Things fans have all said the same thing after Netflix has confirmed a new animated spin-off series is officially in development. On Monday , Stranger Things’ creators The Duffer Brothers released a statement confirming they are working on the untitled project, which is set to be “in the vein of Saturday morning cartoons” the duo grew up with.
Plot details are yet to be unveiled and it is unclear if any of the characters from the live-action series will feature. The Duffers will executive produce the new series via their Upside Down Pictures production banner, along with The Adam Project director Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps and Eric Robles of Flying Bark Productions.“We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with,” The Duffers added.
