The Cape Town Stormers welcome back star forward Evan Roos for their Champions Cup clash against Sale Sharks, but several key players remain sidelined.
Evan Roos is one of three players returning to the field for the Stormers this weekend for their Champions Cup clash against the Sale Sharks at Cape Town Stadium. Roos has been sidelined for the past six months with a shoulder injury, while prop Sti Sithole and English wing Ben Loader have also been recovering from long-term injuries. Sithole has been dealing with an ankle injury for the past three months, and Loader returned from a knee injury sustained last season.
Roos' return will provide a significant boost to the Stormers' forwards. Stormers assistant coach Norman Laker confirmed that Roos, along with Sithole and Loader, are all available for the match. However, there is still uncertainty surrounding the fitness of captain and center Dan du Plessis, wing Leolin Zas, and center Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who are all recovering from injuries. Du Plessis has been out with a knee injury since November and is racing against time to be fit for the Stormers' URC tour, which begins against Leinster on January 25th. Feinberg-Mngomezulu possibly aggravated a shoulder injury in their recent match against the Sharks
