Forwards coach Rito Hlungwani has welcomed the return of Springbok hooker Scarra Ntubeni from injury ahead of what he anticipates to be a physical derby between the Stormers and Bulls on Saturday.
Ntubeni missed the Vodacom United Rugby Championship wins over Ulster and the Ospreys at Cape Town Stadium after picking up an injury in the first half of the home game against Cardiff.
“Hopefully he is back. He did train today,” Hlungwani said of Ntubeni’s return. “I think it’s massive. A guy with his experience is always good to have in our side. Scarra brings a lot of experience to the team, so if he comes back, it will be a good gain for us.” “From our side, we know the Bulls have been playing quite an attractive brand of rugby,” Hlungwani said. “They have got speedsters on the outside and have been scoring some beautiful tries. I don’t think they will change the way that they play. They will want to continue with how well they have been playing and keep those systems going.
