Police begin a murder inquiry after the man was fatally injured in east London on Tuesday night.
A murder investigation has begun after a man, believed to be in his 50s, was fatally stabbed in east London. He died at the scene and his family has been informed, the Metropolitan Police says. No arrests have been made.
He said while the two "dreadful" deaths had happened in the "same area of Hackney" there was "no suggestion of a link between the two". Det Ch Supt Conway added, however, that the two stabbings had highlighted "the continued danger presented to the public by people who arm themselves with knives".
