U.S. stocks post slight gains at opening bell in wake of latest GDP data
Stocks rose at the opening bell on Friday after the U.S. grew at a 2.1% annualized pace in the second quarter, coming in above analysts' estimates. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.46% was up 0.3% to around 3,013 The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.12% advanced 30 points, or 0.1%, to 27,170. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.89% rose 0.7% to 8,295.
