Stocks slipped on Monday as the holiday-shortened week kicked off.

Stock futures are little changed Monday night as investors worry about the prospect of China reinstating pandemic restrictions.

It follows a volatile trading day that brought the major three indexes down. The Dow dropped 45.41 points, or 0.13%, to 33,700.28. Disney's 6.3% gain following the return of The news out of China pushed investors away from growth stocks and toward defensive sectors like health care and utilities, said David Waddell, CEO of Waddell & Associates.
