Stickers from white supremacist group with links to Europe found in New York: 'They are inciting fear and division within our communities'

Extremist materials found in city of Troy believed to have come from far-right group Hundred Handers.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo has launched an investigation after white supremacist stickers were found plastered all across the city of Troy.

Reverend Jeremiah Lennox was one of those who took matters into his own hands after seeing stickers with phrases such as"diversity means no white neighborhoods" on telephone poles near the Collar City Bridge.Spectrum NewsIt is believed the stickers are linked to the white nationalist Hundred Handers group, self-described as having members"hundreds-strong across the western world.

The group, named after giant creatures from Greek mythology with fifty heads and 100 arms, say they send out their slogans to their"hands" so they can print them and post them anonymously. In a statement, Mayor Patrick Madden said:"Troy stands against discrimination in all its forms. Racism, bigotry and prejudice have no place in our community. Messages which seek to create divisions along racial, ethnic or religious lines will be rejected, and we encourage residents to report graffiti on public property to City Hall.
