Kaizer Chiefs advanced to the semi-final of this year’s MTN 8 competition after recording a 1-1 penalty shootout win over Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday in a match marred by crowd trouble.
Before the penalty could be taken though, Chavani, after consultation with the fourth official, rescinded the decision and allowed play to resume much to the confusion and consternation of the home bench at the time. "I heard that it probably was the correct decision," Barker conceded."But whether we have a delayed VAR system in our country, unofficially, it seems like it was the case, so as long as there is consistency with that going forward.
