Questions have been raised on the exclusion of one of the top performers in the league from the Bafana Bafana squads.
Following yet another five-star performance this past weekend against Kaizer Chiefs, Sibongiseni Mthethwa has had his coach at Stellenbosch FC Steve Barker ask questions on what more the midfielder might need to do to get recognition from the national team selectors.Mthethwa was influential in central midfield as Stellies fought until the penalty shoot-out against Amakhosi at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday, and Barker has lamented the 27-year-old’s exclusion from Hugo Broos’ squads.
Mthethwa joined Stellenbosch in January, having previously played for Black Leopards in the second tier.
