Golden State Warriors Steph Curry scrimmages with Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday.
SAN FRANCISCO — Steph Curry took a promising step in his return from injury.
Curry went through a scrimmage with the Santa Cruz G League team on Tuesday morning at Chase Center. The Warriors will have an official Wednesday update on his status and a potential timetable to return. Curry, who is recovering from a left leg sprain sustained on Feb. 4 against the Dallas Mavericks, said the scrimmage “went well.”
“He’s been able to do more,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “But we’ll give you an update in a couple days.” After the All-Star Break, Curry, 34, was back on the court during a workout last Tuesday in Los Angeles in the days before Golden State took on the Lakers. The earliest he could return would be March 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers, the first night of a back-to-back.
