Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker has paid homage to Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United. The subject is youth.
Speaking to the media ahead of facing SuperSport in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals, coach Barker said his team is very similar to United.
“Their structures, the SuperSport youth system is well known in South Africa to have produced many, many top talented footballers, and we’re sort of on that path. “So, I think that’s why a game against SuperSport is as close and tough as it is because, as you say, there are a lot of similarities ,” the former AmaTuks coach concluded.. Anicet Oura and Ryan De Jong scored a brace each for Stellies and goals from Titus and Mervin Boji, while Man of the Match Iqraam Rayners laid four assists.Richards Bay 3-1 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban.
