The Stellenbosch FC star has addressed rumours linking him to Kaizer Chiefs despite his bosses rejecting his transfer request.
As reported on The South African website, Basadien had made a request to the Stellies hierarchy and Steve Barker that would like to join Chiefs.
The pending Cross deal would bring the number of left-backs at Chiefs to three after Bongani Sam and Rushwin Dortley.But for now, his focus is at Stellenbosch where he’s contracted, adding that he intends to perform for the club.“Obviously, I’m contracted to Stellenbosch, that’s where I’m playing.” However, Cross will have to work harder to achieve that goal as competition for places looks to be stiff.
